How to take unsuccessful pictures of fireworks


It is really quite easy:
  • Place the camera on a tripod
  • Adjust the settings manually (exposure-time, aperture, focus etc)
  • Lock-up the mirror
  • Set up the cable release
  • Start the exposure
  • See another beautiful rocket
  • Forget that you have started the exposure
  • Move the tripod
That is all there is to it. Now you have a completely wasted picture. Or a piece of abstract art.
