Bench of the week (8)

I found this classic, Norwegian, white bench in front of a small classic, Norwegian, white house in Alvøen in the outskirts of Bergen.

There is a whole village of these small wooden houses that were built in the 19th century for the families that worked at the paper mill here. A whole little society was created that contained most of what was needed. They have now been rehabilitated, and although the mill was closed some years ago, many small businesses now use the buildings of the old mill.

I have not made this into a meme, but if anyone else would like to join me in publishing benches on Fridays, they are of course welcome to do so. Give me a hint and I'll come visiting.
