An art interested person will always look for artistic objects. During our stay in southern Spain this winter Statues and sculptures could be found everywhere. Some of them I felt for making a photo of, and here are some from Fuengirola:In the city center just outside the train station in the middle of the round-about this obelisk can be found. Round-abouts around the world, like those in Muscat Oman are many times decorated with sculptures, but not so often here in Norway. An upgrading could be interesting to see.
This huge torso can be seen at another round-about in avenida Santa Amalia. Here shot during a late return home after an Italian dinner at the restaurant: La Pergola (to be recommended)
Outside the Plaza Toros this sculpture of a bull fighter is placed at another round-about. I do not care for the bull fighting at all, but a nations tradition is nothing to deny. The Osborne Bull on the hill over Torreblanca (the Osborne Brand) is a much more recommended Toro to hunt for. Try Osborne Veterano.
This special "sculpture" is placed close at Paseo Maritimo Rey de Espana. The Romans left these remains of a temple and these columns are placed near the beach in Los Boliches close to San Rafael Square at Plaza Castilla. In the square you can also see a monument to San Rafael
On the other side of the street you can see a cosy sculpture visualizing children playing at the beach and building sand-castleThis sculpture became the turning point for our exercise walks. From the Apartment hotel to this sculpture we used 42 minutes, meaning that the daily walk at the beach promenade gave an almost 10km cardiovascular challenge.
