A multifaceted holiday

Oh woe, my poor neglected blog... What can I say? I'm reprioritising, refocusing, rewriting (again)and have been much in need of a holiday. As you'll see, the blog's look has changed, along with a few other things. I think it's called metamorphosis...

But never mind all that, I'd much rather show you some happy snappies of a recent trip we took up the coast, where we managed to combine sun, sea, wildlife, landscapes and lots of fun. Hope you enjoy the virtual trip too!

There were panaramic vistas...

And there were moody seascapes...

There were lazy days at the pool, reading and sipping cool drinks...

...whilst gazing at a diamond-scattered sea...

and watching the waves crashing on the rocks

There were days spent gazing at the lagoon...

...munching oysters

And then there was wildlife, in varied forms...

And there were sunsets...

...and nightscapes...

...and more moody seascapes...

And there was even an African beach baptism!

All in all, a pretty good holiday!

Sunday's Psalm--Palm Sunday

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

All who see me scoff at me;

they mock me with parted lips, they wag their heads:

“He relied on the LORD; let him deliver him,

let him rescue him, if he loves him.”

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?
Indeed, many dogs surround me,
a pack of evildoers closes in upon me;
They have pierced my hands and my feet;
I can count all my bones.

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

They divide my garments among them,
and for my vesture they cast lots.
But you, O LORD, be not far from me;
O my help, hasten to aid me.
My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

I will proclaim your name to my brethren;
in the midst of the assembly I will praise you:
“You who fear the LORD, praise him;
all you descendants of Jacob, give glory to him;
revere him, all you descendants of Israel!”

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

Starting Easter

When some of or many of our friends are moving to the mountain and their cabins with or without electricity, we are starting Easter with a outdoor glass of wine at Aker Brygge including lunch at Bølgen and Moi with Champagne and their recommended Fish Soup.
Happy Easter wherever you are.

More Lost Jobs
The private sector lost another 23,000 jobs in March. The Obama administration is responding by asking: "what's the private sector?"

Student Loan Changes
The Democrats new student loan program changes cut out the banks as middlemen, and will eliminate many bank loan offices. So after all these kids graduate, there won't be any place where they can get a job.

James in Rehab
Sandra Bullock's husband Jesse James has checked into rehab... it's not clear if it's for sex addiction or tattoo addiction.

Boeing's Charge
Boeing now says the new health care law will cost it $150 million this quarter alone. Apparently, the government is now going to charge Boeing $5 for everyone who gets airsick on one of their planes.

Militia Arrests
The Obama administration says it decided to have the FBI arrest members of the Hutaree militia group in Michigan upon learning they were planning to kill police officers... and build homes for Jews in Jerusalem.

1942: Japanese forces invade Christmas Island in a brazen attempt to capture Santa Claus.

2007: In Sydney, Australia, 2.2 million people take part in the first Earth Hour. Everyone else in Australia keeps using power and actually gets some work done.

2008: Aloha Airlines, a bankrupt airline, permanently ends passenger service. Service for pets and drunk pilots continues for another 8 months.
