1815: New Jersey grants the first American railroad charter to John Stevens. Because it's New Jersey, Stevens and the railroad becomes mobbed up within 15 minutes.
1817: The Argentinian San Martín crosses the Andes in order to liberate Chile from Spanish rule. Unfortunately for Martin, he forgot to bring his army.
1959: The first successful test firing of a Titan intercontinental ballistic missile is accomplished... making Mrs. Titan very happy finally!
