Military Raise
The Obama team wants to give the military a 1.4% raise next year. Unfortunately, Wikileaks is offering 2.4%.



Car Costs
A group of American auto executives say the car of the future won't be cheap... mainly because most American auto executives will soom be living in those cars.



BCS Championship
Oregon and Auburn will play for the college football BCS championship next month. Classes at both schools will remain canceled until that game, as they have been since September.



Tax Deal
Democrats and Republicans are close to a compromise on extending the Bush tax cuts. The Democrats have agreed to keep the tax cuts in return, the Republicans have agreed to keep pretending the Democrats are worth listening to.



Pfizer CEO Out
Pfizer's CEO Jeffrey Kindler has stepped down suddenly. It turns out even he was getting sick of the damned co-pays.

1884: The Washington Monument in Washington D.C. is completed. But it is not opened to the public until they finished the gift shop three years later.
