1950: L. Ron Hubbard's Dianetics is released. To this day, the only person who actually believes anything in it is Tom Cruise.
1960: The FDA announces it will approve the use of birth control pills... thus making John F. Kennedy's presidential campaign viable.
2002: The 38-day stand-off in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem comes to an end when the Palestinians inside agree to to blow themselves up at some other church.
