Jane Douglas is going to Sotheby's Kluge Estate Sale in Virginia!

Hopefully she'll be able to take some photos and give us all the scoop. Have fun JD!

From the Sotheby's website:
"Philanthropist and vintner Patricia Kluge devoted herself to the creation of Albemarle House, a showpiece of architecture, design and antiques located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Together with renowned designer David Easton, they conceived the 45-room English country manor house - which neighbors such historic estates as Thomas Jefferson's Monticello and James Monroe's Ash Lawn-Highland - and filled the home with Georgian furniture, decorative objects and paintings. In a unique joint sale offering, Albemarle House is currently on offer through Sotheby's International Realty, while its contents will comprise a Sotheby's house sale, to take place on the grounds of the estate this June. This highly anticipated event will present collectors the opportunity to explore the extraordinary backdrop which Mrs. Kluge created for her distinctive collection.

Albemarle House epitomizes high-style country living in the tradition of the English country manor. The style of Albemarle House is complemented by its exquisitely manicured English gardens, designed by one of Britain's most highly acclaimed landscape architects, George Carter, together with Lady Xa Tollemache."
