1040: King Duncan I is killed in battle against his first cousin and rival Macbeth. Freeing Macbeth to pursue his real goal of terrorizing high school English Literature classes for the next 10 centuries.
1824: Freed American slaves found Liberia as a haven to black people and touristy cruise ships forevermore.
1965: The Beatles play to nearly 60,000 fans at Shea Stadium in New York City, 50,000 of whom were just the third basemen the Mets had put on waivers that season alone.
